ASAH will be holding its annual conference on Friday, November 12, 2010. More than 1,500 educators, caregivers, representative of service organizations and family members of those with special education needs are expected to attend.

KEYNOTE ADDRESS By:    

Youth care specialist Charlie Appelstein, M.S.W., President of Appelstein Training Resources, LLC (ATR) provides expert strength-based training, consultation, and publications for individuals and groups who work with troubled children and youth.

High quality training and networking opportunities

Because it serves private schools and agencies throughout New Jersey that provide specialized services to more than 11,000 infants, children and young adults with disabilities, ASAH has the ability to identify and bring together speakers and presenters with the most to offer their colleagues in the field. ASAH's Annual Conference is always a highlight of the private special education in-service year.

 

Conference Program at a Glance

Our 34th Annual Conference begins at 8:15 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast for attendees, presenters, and exhibitors.

Following breakfast, at 9:00 a.m., we'll present ASAH’s 2010 Awards for Educator, Paraprofessional, and Related Services Provider of the Year.

The Keynote Performance by Wavelength will begin at 9:45 a.m.

Following a keynote address, attendees will participate in a variety of workshops addressing best practices in special education, education policy, school administration, and more.

Workshop information will be posted here as it becomes available.

Morning sessions begin at 11:15 a.m. and afternoon sessions will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Throughout the day, vendors and agencies that provide products and services to the special education community will be in Exhibit Hall A with displays. Exhibition hours are from 8:15 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Lunch will be served at 12:45 p.m.

Student artwork will also be on display.

Registration fees include breakfast, lunch and parking at the Atlantic City Convention Center garage (onsite garage only).

Pre-registration deadline is Friday, November 5, 2010.

A late fee of $10 will be added for all registrations made after October 30, 2010. Registration fee includes parking, breakfast & lunch, and all workshop materials.

Full payment is due prior to conference date. Fees are not refundable after November 5, 2010.

Walk in registrations for individuals will be accepted at the conference for an additional fee. Non-members who register on site must pay at time of registration.
